So it’s been five years. Good job, Matthew, way to update the blog.
I am now the Lead Librarian at a public library in a small southern MN city. I work with teens and adults, and also manage the staff and facilities at the library. This is after two and a half years of work at the northern WI library where I started this blog, and a little over one year at another library in eastern WI. I am planning now to update this blog weekly, including book reviews and program updates. I think it’s good for me to have a functioning blog as a working professional.
Side note: I am obviously miserable at this blogging thing, so we’ll see how that works out. But I’d rather try to commit again than just let this sit unused.
More updates (hopefully) to come soon.
So I have been busy like you would not believe the last two weeks, thereby immediately shooting down my promise to blog daily again. Let’s go with blogging “regularly” and leave it at that from now on. The reason I have been so busy is primarily my work at the library, specifically work with our up-and-coming new teen advisory group, BookForce. Let’s experiment with a “More…” tag and put the rest of my story below the cut! Continue reading “BookForce, parties, Extra Lives, and more…”
OK, so there’s no secret that I have been a complete slacker about updating this thing. It’s been, what, about a year since my first, and only, blog post? I’m doing so well at writing every day and all those grand things I said I’d do in June of 2009. 😛 Anyway, before I get started trying to post regular, serious updates at the urging of some friends of mine, I decided to catch everyone up on what I’ve been doing. Continue reading “Brief Update”
Ohai. Welcome to my new blog, Libraryman. A little about me: My name’s Matthew White, and I recently graduated from UW-Milwaukee with an MLIS. I live in St. Paul, MN with my wonderful wife, Andrea, and our bunny, Usagi Yojimbo. I had a blog in college – actually, I had a few blogs in college – but none of them really fit where I want to be right now. I needed a new start – you are looking at it.
